Our Faith Life in Action

Student Academics

From Middle School through High School, Seton Catholic provides each student a comprehensive education in their Catholic faith through learning and practicing the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity.  Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition are taught with passion and student participation.  Courses include Old and New Testament studies, Church History and Church Doctrine, Sacraments, Morality, and Apologetics.  The Bible and the Catechism are the foundations for each course.

Student Spiritual Growth

Our day begins and ends in prayer, along with daily reflection on the Saint of the Day and Gospel of the Day.  Our School Chaplain celebrates weekly Mass with our students, staff, and faculty, and offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation after each Mass.  The High School and Middle School share the responsibilities for reading scripture for the Mass, as well as coordinating, playing, and cantering the music for the Mass.  Our Seniors are given the opportunity to become Extra-Ordinary Eucharistic Ministers to assist at Mass, and our student Campus Ministry program includes the responsibility to altar serve at the Masses.  The Advisor of the Campus Ministry program is an ordained Deacon who guides the group throughout the year.

Student Faith in Action

Charitable works are an integral part of student life at Seton Catholic.  Classes participate in food drives, partner with Catholic Charities to provide monthly student involvement in their food distribution program, and prepare sandwiches for those in need.  A particular favorite is the Boxes of Joy Program for local children during the Christmas season.  Students are encouraged to embrace community service by our requirement of 40 hours work to be completed throughout their high school years.
