Qualifying juniors and seniors can participate in Horry Georgetown Technical College’s Program for Accelerated College Enrollment (PACE) to get a head start on college. Through is dual-enrollment program, our students can meet high school graduation requirements while taking college credit courses. The credits earned in PACE courses identified as University Transfer are accepted as transfer credit at all two-and four-year SC public colleges, many SC private colleges, and other out-of-state colleges.
VirtualSC is a free state-sponsored online program serving students currently attending public, private and home schools in grades 6-12 and Adult Education Programs. Our students can take on-line high school courses aligned to state standards. Courses are offered at the Advanced Placement (AP), Honors (H) and College Preparatory (CP) levels. Students may also take credit recovery courses to recover credit in courses they failed.
Eligible high school students can take introductory college-level Advanced Placement (AP) courses that, after successfully completing the final exam, earn the student college credits. Nearly all colleges and universities in the United States grant credit and placement for qualifying AP scores. Seton Catholic also offers a grade point average (GPA) boost to students who take AP courses.
Students prepare for the CLEP tests independently – unlike AP where they must take an approved course taught by College Board-trained teachers.
