Seton offers many opportunities to discover and express oneself, while fostering creativity and ingenuity. Students can explore beauty in fine arts, ceramics, sculpture, and media arts, including the use of a state-of-the-art kiln, which allows students to create ceramic art masterpieces. They can master varied musical skills, including the use of a beautiful piano lab. Students find their voice through poetic and creative writing programs. Our exceptional Drama program allows students to learn the art of theater while entertaining the entire Seton community. No matter what one’s passion is, Seton has a course or club that nurtures individual creativity.
Middle School General Art and 3-D (sculpture/ceramics) focuses on basic skills and knowledge of some art history. Foundation is very important for the discipline of Art – training in observation to see line, structure, and balance.
High School 2-D and 3-D dive a little deeper, depending on the level of knowledge and skills of the student that lead toward independent study and series-work, guided and encouraged by their instructor.
Our Seton Art department engages students through design Art-tivities, supporting school events such as Seton Week and Seton Theater with set and prop builds. We engage in our community by gifting art to local charities for auctions or loaning artwork for feature exhibitions.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is a creative place for students to seek and find many gifts that God gives through Art.
