Faith Life

Our Faith Life in Action

Seton Catholic School provides a loving Christian environment in which Christ's teachings are proclaimed and lived. We provide a Catholic Middle and High School in order to prepare our students through our Classes to attend our Masses, which are “the source and summit of the Christian life,” led together by us as the Body of Christ (CCC 1324 & LG 11).(1) Hence, let it ever be our rule of life, “Come to Class and Come to Mass.”

At the heart of our curriculum is the Catholic faith. Although our student body is predominately Catholic, the school welcomes students of all faiths. All our students participate in daily Theology classes. In fidelity to the Church's founder, Jesus Christ, Seton Catholic School teaches the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church as presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. High School Students are required to complete four credits of Theology for graduation, including studies in Divine Revelation, The Paschal Mystery, Morality and Catholic Social Justice, and Catholic Apologetics and World Religions.

In addition to Theology classes, a Christian theme is interwoven throughout the daily life at the school. Every subject is taught from a foundation of a Catholic worldview. The Principal works with the parents, teachers, staff and students to ensure it.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is made available often. For the Sacrament of Confirmation, Catholic parents may enroll their sons and daughters in their parish sacramental programs. Our Theology teachers teach the academic preparation for this sacrament. The liturgical preparation, parent meetings, and student retreats may be completed at the family parish in which the student is spiritually nurtured.

A student-driven Campus Ministry Team helps to lead days of reflection for Advent and Lent, and sponsors special events, such as class retreats, pro-life events, and service projects. School faculty members work with parish youth personnel to connect our students to parish, diocesan, national, and international Catholic events.

All students are encouraged to become aware of the needs of others both within the school family and the broader community, and to respond to others through the school service program. Seton Catholic School is a community permeated by a genuine family atmosphere where love for Christ and the joyful living of faith is the foundation for every aspect of life.
